How gorgeous are these brushes? In today's post I am reviewing two brush sets that are both inexpensive and have great quality. I immediately fell in love with these brushes while browsing the Rosegal site and I'm sure that you can't blame me for it!
First up is this plated brush set in rose gold* ($8.57). The set contains 7 pieces that includes a powder brush, blush brush, foundation brush, contour brush, eyeshadow brush, dome eyeshadow brush and angled brush.
Upon seeing them for the first time you can clearly tell that they are Real Technique brush dupes but for half the price! The quality of the brushes is so nice and I am in love with the rose gold handles. If rose gold is not your cup of tea, there are also silver, gold and mixed sets available.
The big fluffy ones are really softest and perfect for applying powder based makeup like blush, powder, bronzer and highlighter. The flat brush has the perfect shape for contouring since the bristles are packed together. I have found myself reaching for the angled brush a lot lately since it is perfect for filling in the brows. The foundation brush is something that I had not seen before but the triangled tip makes it perfect for applying foundation under the eyes and around the nose. I found that the eyeshadow brushes are a bit too big for applying shadows precisely but that makes them perfect for blending.
The second set that I picked up is the black oval brush set* ($6.03) which comes with 2 brushes. I have been seeing these oddly shaped brushes all over Youtube and Instagram lately so I was really interested in trying them out myself.
The two brushes have bristles that are tightly packed together but the foundation brush is softer while the small brush has stiffer bristles. I found the bigger brush to be perfect for applying foundation evenly on the skin. Although the smaller brush is listed as being a blush brush I have been using it for contouring my face.
Overall I am really happy with my picks and I would definitely recommend heading over to Rosegal if you are in search for some beautiful yet cheap brushes.
Ooh these are so pretty and so affordable.. Great dupes of pricier brands. x
