"Slow down, Take it easy"
This is the theme of October's Mishka Mail. The kit's aim is to explore all the ways in which we can relax, slow down and take a moment for ourselves. We can often get caught up in our busy schedules and leave little to no time to take time out for our well being. Here are 5 tips to help you unwind.
Pamper yourself
I love having a pamper night from time to time especially after a long and stressful day at school. Run a warm bath, put on some spa music, apply a face mask, light a scented candle, sit back and relax.
Grab a cuppa
Drinking a cup of green tea or chamomile tea is proven to help reduce your stress levels and provide calmness. If you find yourself unable to sleep due to stress pour yourself a cup of chamomile tea and let it do it's thing.
Exercise
This doesn't have to be a strenuous sport and a short walk in the fresh air or practicing some yoga will do. I recently found a love for yoga and I try to fit in at least 20 minutes everyday to follow along a YouTube tutorial. (This one is perfect for beginners)
Turn off technology
All the constant social media updates can get a bit too much sometimes. So every now and then tune out of the internet and read a book or magazine.
Organise and de-clutter
I am really bad at keeping my room in order and always end up with an over flowing chair-drobe! But that aside, having an organised living space helps to have an organised mind.
Mishka Mail is a stationary subscription box that delivers cute themed parcels every month. The designs are created by Melbourne based illustrator Naira Tamanian of "Graceful Avenue". The October Parcel* included 3 greeting cards, 2 stickers, 2 mini collection cards, 1 gift tag and 1 wall paper print all related to relaxing and slowing down. If you are interested in ordering November's kit (€20.66 shipping included) head over to Mishka Mail before the sign-up closes.
What are your favourite ways to de-stress?
Oh my God, wonderful :-P

DeleteTurning off technology might be the best thing to do to actually relax. Being on screens all the time is so bad because our brain and eyes can never really rest... Too bad we're bloggers so of course so we're addicted to to screens and phones haha. These tips really are great, I've been trying out chamomile tea recently and it's somehow improved my sleep! :)
