Hope everyone is having a great Sunday and had a great Easter break last week! In today's post, I'm sharing some of my recent favourite products. This is similar to the monthly favourites that I used to do but it's now too late in the month for that, hence the different name.
Kiko Luxurious Lashes extra volume brush mascara
First up is this mascara from Kiko that I bought while in London last February. This mascara gives length to my lashes without going being clumpy so it's a great everyday mascara. I much prefer plastic bristles like this one has as I feel that they give a better effect and they also coat the baby hairs better which creates a fuller look.
Antonio Banderas Queen of Seduction perfume
The second favourite is the Antonio Banderas perfume. I received this as a Christmas present and it also came with a body lotion which I shared yesterday on my Instagram. It smells fruity and fresh so it's great as an everyday perfume for Spring or Summer. I love this scent and it's quickly replacing The Body Shop's Japanese cherry blossom perfume which was my favourite this time last year.
Primark Nudes Matte & Gloss Collection
Next up are these Primark lip duo which I also bought while I was in London. They actually came in a set of four but I didn't like the other two as they were too light for my skin tone and I'm not that tan. This had me asking, are concealer lips coming back in?! But on the other hand, I loved the high shime lipgloss and matte lip cream. The matte doesn't dry out my lips and it's easy to apply. The shimmery lipgloss is not something I expected to like but I think it looks great in the centre of the lips or even mixed in with another lipstick to create a metallic look. Unfortunately, they don't have a specific name but I believe you can also find them individually which I would recommend getting.
Essence Get Picture Ready Long-lasting compact
Last up is this Essence compact foundation that I have been loving as you can probably tell. You may remember that I featured this last December in an Essence Makeup Buffet haul and review post. I had not previously used any foundations apart from liquid ones so I was quite surprised by this product. I found that it's best to apply it using my fingers as it gives a very natural application. It works really well as both an all over foundation, under eye concealer and covers blemishes really well. I love that it also comes with a mirror and a sponge which I use at the end to smooth everything out.
Here is a look that I created using the makeup products mentioned above. As you can see, they all look really natural when applied and the foundation managed to cover nearly all of the blemishes apart from a few pesky ones.
Which products have you been loving recently?
